Dr Andrew Burgess
Dr Andrew Burgess was educated in locally in Brentwood before going up to the University of Leeds to read Medicine. During the five year medical course he took a year out to complete a separate anatomy degree focussing on head and neck anatomy. He undertook an additional extended placement with Professor Tim Briggs at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore. Since completing his degrees he has worked mainly in London and Essex in areas such vascular surgery, ear nose and throat Surgery and stroke medicine prior to starting his training in General Practice. He has presented on a variety of areas both nationally and internationally.
Since 2018 Dr Burgess has been working solely in general practice with a particular focus of minor surgical procedures and musculoskeletal injections. He is a partner in a busy NHS practice and continues to do work in the urgent care environment.
Outside of work he is a keen but amateur golfer and enjoys watching rugby, cricket and racing. He is an ambassador for SNAP Charity and is a trustee of two charitable organisations. Drawing on all of these experiences he hopes to provide an understanding, thorough but friendly experience.
